Royals Upended at Central Arkansas Despite Goals from Goic and Moise

CONWAY, ARK. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team fell to 0-2 in league play with a tough 6-2 loss at Central Arkansas on Saturday afternoon. The Bears used four second-half goals to improve to 2-0 all-time against the Royals.

Turning Point
After taking a 2-1 lead into the intermission, Central Arkansas ramped up their attack early in the second half putting the match out of reach with a pair of goals in the first five minutes of play. The difference in the match proved to be the Bears attack as they outshot the Royals 24-10 on the day. The 24 shots were the most by an opponent since September 24, 2022 at Lipscomb.

  • Senior striker Mario Goic extended his team lead in scoring with his third goal of the season in the 4th minute. Goic has found the back of the net in two of the last three matches. The Croatia native led the attack with three shots across 54 minutes.
