Royals Face Lock Haven on the Road

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (0-2) faced Lock Haven University (1-0) of the A-10 Conference in their second game of the season this morning, falling 7-0 to the Bald Eagles.

Turning Point
With two goals scored by Bald Eagles in the first six minutes of action, the Royals found themselves in a hole early. Adding another goal in the opening period, Lock Haven continued to control the game on both ends of the field for the remainder of the half as they took a 4-0 lead into the break. The Royals would hold the Bald Eagles scoreless in the third quarter, but three unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes of play would give the game its final score.

  • In goal, freshman, Grace Meinke completed the game with seven saves.
