HOW IT HAPPENED

-Austin Peay would get the scoring started in the bottom of the first inning with back-to-back solo home runs to left center.

-The Royals would answer in the top of the second as they capitalized on a critical two-out Governors error. Following a leadoff single from Connor Manco, an infield groundout would advance Manco to second before a struck out slowed the Royals attack. Tyler Peters worked a walk and both runners would advance up on a wild pitch. JJ Sousa would hit a ground ball to second base, but a Governors throwing error would bring across both runs to tie the game.

-Austin Peay would answer in the bottom of the second as they manufactured a run. A leadoff single led to a stolen base before a deep fly ball to right field advanced the runner to third with one out. A sacrifice fly to right field would bring across the Governors run.

-Queens would respond immediately in the top of the third inning with four runs on five hits. Andrew McDermott, Riley Cheek, JD Coleman, Tyler Cotto, and Tyler Peters recorded a hit during the productive inning.

-Austin Peay would tie it up in the bottom of the fourth inning with three runs on four hits. The inning was capped off with a two-out three-run home run to center field.

-Queens would regain the lead in the top of the seventh inning with two runs on two hits and one Governors error. Connor Manco led off the inning with a single into left field. JD Coleman would reach on a fielder's choice up the middle and Manco would advance safely on an error by the shortstop. Dillon Lewis would rip a fielder's choice to shortstop and put runners on the corners with one out. Tyler Peters would deliver with a two-run double down the left field line to give the Royals an 8-6 lead.

-Austin Peay responded in the bottom of the seven with two runs on two hits. With two outs and runners on first and second, the Governors would lace a double into right center bringing around both runs to tie the game 8-8.

-The Governors would walk it off in the 10th inning with back-to-back doubles.
