The Short Story: With two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning, sophomore Tyler Peters belted his first collegiate home run for the Royals in walk-off fashion as Queens picked up their first ASUN victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Both offenses managed to put a run on the board in the first inning. The Bisons struck first with a one-out solo home run by Alex Vergara. The Royals would answer in the bottom half as Sam Hunter and Riley Cheek worked back-to-back singles. Tyler Cotto would lace an RBI single into left field bringing Hunter in to even the score 1-1.

-Queens would pour four runs on in the bottom of the third inning with four hits. The scoring outburst gave the Royals their first lead of the series. Senior Riley Cheek belted a one-out home run to right center to get the scoring started. Tyler Cotto would follow that up with a single to center field. With two outs and runners on first and second, Tyler Peters ripped an RBI single into center field. A passed ball would score Brassington and advance Peters to second before Christian Maggio completed the scoring with an RBI single into right field.

-Lipscomb would add a run in the fourth inning with a two-out RBI single to cut the deficit to 5-2.

-After a pair of scoreless innings, the visiting Bisons would add a run in the seventh as they capitalized on a Queens error. With runners on second and third and one out, Trace Willhoite hit a sacrifice fly to left field cutting the deficit to 5-3.

-Lipscomb would add another run in the eighth inning as Austin Kelly ripped a leadoff home run to right center.

-With two outs in the top of the ninth, Trace Willhoite belted a game-tying home run to right center field.

-With two down in the bottom of the 10th inning, sophomore Tyler Peters delivered an opposite-field home run to walk it off for the Royals. The walk-off victory is the second this season for Queens as Peters delivered an RBI single against Tennessee Tech in the first one.
