CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Queens swimming continued their hot performance in this year's National Invitational Championship on day two, as they will compete in the finals of seven separate events tonight.
Jan Delkeskamp (3:52.21) and
Yannick Plasil (3:52.38) find themselves in the A final of the 400 IM, while
Andreas Marz (3:53.40) will compete in the B final. On the women's side of the event,
Tova Andersson earned her second spot in the finals in as many days, competing in the B final after finishing with a time of 4:24.52.
Matej Dusa claimed third in the 100 fly (47.25) to earn a spot in the A final while
Yannick Plasil (47.80) will swim in the B final.
Queens will send three swimmers to the final in the 200 free, led by
Daniel Meszaros who touched the wall second at 1:35.86.
Alex Kunert (1:36.45) will aso compete in the A final, while
Luke Erwee (1:37.35) finds himself in the B final.
Monica Gumina is the lone Royal to earn a finals spot in the women's 200 free, posting a time of 1:47.89.
Balazs Berecz earned a spot in the A final in the 100 breast, finishing at 53.67.
Jan Delkeskamp (54.10) and
Noah Beladi (54.12) finished in consecutive spots to earn a spot in the B final.
Queens' lone first-place finish of day two prelims came from
Alexander Bauch, who took the top spot in the 100 back with a time of 47.17.
Andreas Marz was two spots behind him in third after touching the wall at 47.87.
