ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team competed in its first NCAA DI game this afternoon traveling to face the Navy Mids (2-0) in front of a crowd of 641 spectators. The Royals would fall 19-5 to the Mids with sophomore attacker

How it Happened
The Mids got off to a slow start scoring just two goals in the opening quarter of action before putting together a 10-0 push in the second to build a comfortable 12-0 lead heading into the break. The Royals would get going in the third scoring back-to-back goals to close the gap to 10, but that was as close as things would get despite Queens taking the period, 3-2. In the final 15, the Mids would coast to victory adding five more points to the board as Queens put a pair in the back of the net to give the game its final score, 19-5.

- Stechmiller finished play with two goals on six shots.
- Sophomore midfielder Hunter Meyer totaled two goals on six shots.
- Graduate midfielder Adam Barry added one goal after taking three shots.
- Sophomore attacker Jack Royer finished the game with two assists while Ryan Lightsey and Jacob Bowen each added one.
- The Mids were led by Carter Ash who finished with seven points on a hat trick and four assists. Jeff Lachenmeyer followed with three goals and one assist.
- Senior goalkeeper William Powley took today's loss after totaling six saves in 30 minutes of action. Wesley Wheat recorded three saves. Dan Daly of Navy took the win after totaling five saves in 23:46.
- Queens was outshot 55-32 as Navy put 28 shots on goal compared to 14 by the Royals. The Mids also won the battle in the face-off circle, 15-12.
- Navy head coach, Joe Amplo, and Queens' Chris Panos are also longtime acquaintances as both attended Sachem High School in Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y., before becoming teammates at Hofstra.
