The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team closes out their non-conference schedule with a 66-48 win over Gardner-Webb on Saturday afternoon. The Royals improve to 6-7 while the Runnin' Bulldogs drop to 1-12 on the season.

BY THE NUMBERS
  • Jordyn Weaver picked up her third double double of the season recording 24 points and 11 rebounds. The 24 points sets a new career high  for the sophomore and led the team for the second time this season. 
  • Nicole Gwynn got back in the doubles figures with 16 points on the day.
     
NOTABLE MOMENTS
  • This is the second consecutive game where the fourth quarter proved to be the Royals' best offensive quarter. 
  • Queens outscored GWU 27-8 in the fourth quarter and went on their biggest run of the game 18-0.
  • The Royals started the game on the free throw line as the Bulldogs picked up an administrative technical foul before tip-off. 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
  • Queens shot 11-12 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter
  • The Royals bench outscored the Bulldogs' 33-13
  • The third quarter was the only quarter the Royals were outscored, ending the quarter with only nine points to the Bulldogs 15.

The Royals start their ASUN play against Kennesaw State on Saturday, January 6th. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN Plus.
