The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team suffered a loss to No. 1 LSU on Thursday night. This battle ends the Royals' tough opening week road trip where the team faced two top-15 teams in one week.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Nicole Gwynn took over the scoring in the game and kept the Royals in the fight with the Tigers. The junior guard scored eight times from the arc and finished the game with 26 points giving her back-to-back games with double-figure points.
- Along with leading the team in points Gwynn also led the team in minutes played. The SC State transfer was on the court for over 26 minutes of the game.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
- The Royals played well offensively in the first and third quarters of the game ending both quarters with 20 points.
- Queens went 50% from the arc in the first quarter and went on their best scoring run in the third quarter with six straight points.
 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- Queens did not see the free-throw line until the third quarter. Amari Davis was the only Royal to shoot free throws and went 3-5 at the line.
-The 55 points put up by the Royals will mark the most points scored against a nationally-ranked opponent in program history.
