The Short Story:Â The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team suffered a loss to No. 1 LSU on Thursday night. This battle ends the Royals' tough opening week road trip where the team faced two top-15 teams in one week.

Nicole Gwynn took over the scoring in the game and kept the Royals in the fight with the Tigers. The junior guard scored eight times from the arc and finished the game with 26 points giving her back-to-back games with double-figure points.
- Along with leading the team in points Gwynn also led the team in minutes played. The SC State transfer was on the court for over 26 minutes of the game.
