SHORT STORY
Queens recorded one of their most dominant performances in program history as they held Wesleyan scoreless in the second quarter and went on a 37-0 run en route to a 96-36 victory.

BY THE NUMBERS
  • Amari Davis had her best statistical game of the season with 10 points and a season-high 11 rebounds. This was also her first double-double in Division I and first since she recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds against UVA-Wise in the 2021-22 season
  • Nicole Gwynn led the Royals with 19 points and continues her prolific scoring season where she has scored double digits in every game so far. 
  • Hawa Balde recorded a career-high with six points and six rebounds
  • Freshman Kaitlyn Adams recorded a career-high with nine points, six rebounds, and 15 minutes played
  • Nicole Gwynn, Jordyn Weaver, Adia Brisker, Alexandria Johnson, and Amari Davis all finished the game in double figures.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
  • After falling behind 4-0 early, the Royals went on an 11-0 run and finished the quarter by out-scoring the Wolves 25-3 to take a 25-7 lead into the 2nd quarter.
  • The Royals dominated the second quarter, out-scoring Wesleyan 26-0 in the quarter and improving their lead to 51-7 into halftime and 51-3 since the 4-0 start for Wesleyan
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
  • For the first time in the Division 1 Era, Queens held a team scoreless for an entire quarter when they outscored the Wolves 26-0 in the second quarter. The closest they came before this was when they held Pfeiffer to 2 points in the fourth quarter of a 81-29 win to open the 2022-23 season.
  • The Royals gathered 55 rebounds as a team which is their most in Division I. The previous high was 53 which they recorded against North Alabama last season
  • At one point, Queens went on a 37-0 run between the first, second, and third quarters. 
  • This game marks the largest margin of victory in the Jen Brown Era. 
UP NEXT
The Royals will make a quick two-game road trip in South Carolina this upcoming week where they will face South Carolina State on Wednesday, November 29th at 6:30 PM before taking on Winthrop on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:00 PM. The Royals defeated the South Carolina State Bulldogs in Charlotte last season and hope to improve to 2-0 all-time against their foes from Orangeburg.
