Royals Second Half Rally Falls Short in Asheville

The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team fell 67-53 to the UNC Asheville Bulldogs on Tuesday afternoon. The Royals are now 2-3 on the season while the Bulldogs improved to 2-2.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Tiziana Huici had a season-high 14 points off the bench and sparked the increase in scoring the Royals had in the second half of the game.
- Nicole Gwynn broke her record of 20+ in a game but led the team with 15 points on the day.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
- After only scoring 14 points in the first half of the game, The Royals had their best scoring run in the third quarter where the team ended the 10 minutes with 20 points.
- The Royals went on an 8-0 run towards the end of the third quarter

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- Queens outscore Asheville in both second-half quarters with a 20-17 third quarter and a 19-16 fourth quarter. 
-The Royals shot 50 percent from the field and 60 percent from beyond the arc in the 3rd quarter
-The team finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds and eight second-chance points which beat the 11 offensive rebounds and six second-chance points the Bulldogs put up.
