SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE, VA.--- The Queens University of Charlotte club triathlon team had a great day at the MACTC Draft Legal Sprint Triathlon as the women won the championship and the men finished second in the championship standings.
WHAT HAPPENED
- In the men's race, Tristen Jones was first overall at 53:14.6 and Daniel Gossow was 7th at 54:23.4 to help the Royals score second in the standings.
- In the women's race, Clare Dasso and Anna Besenyei scored to help the Royals win the MACTC women's conference championship.
- Clare Anne Dasso placed first in the race with a time of 1:02:44 and Anna Besenyei finished at second place with a time of 1:03:25.
