Three Royals Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Teams

GREENWOOD, IN. – The 2021-22 Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams have been announced with Queens University of Charlottes Jan Delkeskamp, Edoardo Bottino, and Kayla Tennant earning the recognition. The At-Large teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.
 
For the third straight year, Queens University of Charlottes men's swimmer Jan Delkeskamp is being recognized on the all-district team after the senior was named an Academic All-American for the second consecutive year last season. Delkeskamp held a 4.0 GPA while majoring in finance. The Men's Swimming and Diving Elite 90 Award winner helped the Royals capture their seventh straight national championship this past season by putting together All-American swims in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard IM, and 400-yard IM. Delkeskamp is a 20-time CSCAA All-American and two-time CSCAA Scholar All-American.
 
Fellow swimmer Kayla Tennant represented the Royals on the women's side for the second straight year. The Women's Swimming and Diving Elite 90 Award winner posted a 4.0 GPA as a biology and psychology major. In the pool, Tennant contributed to the Royals seventh straight national championship title by putting together All-American performances in the 400-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard butterfly. The senior is an 11-time CSCAA All-American and two-time CSCAA Scholar All-American.
 
For the first time in his career, men's tennis player Edoardo Bottino was named to the all-district team. Bottino becomes the fourth player in program history to land on the honorary list. The South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year posted a 3.98 GPA while majoring in finance. Bottino garnered First Team All-Conference singles and doubles praise this season while helping the Royals capture their fourth conference tournament title in program history.
 
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-June.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
 
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-American programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the wards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Division II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
