CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The top-ranked Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team increased its winning streak to 11 this afternoon with a 25-6 win over Tusculum University at Dickson Field. The win helps the Royals continue their best start in program history as they move to 11-0 on the year and 6-0 in league play.
Queens was dominant in the win outshooting the Pioneers 43-14 to put 33 shots on goal. The Royals also won the battle for ground balls, 18-11, and totaled 24 draw controls in the win.
Sydney Bracken led at the draw totaling eight en route to becoming Queens' new all-time leader in the category with 215.
The Royals once again jumped out to an early lead today, outscoring the Pioneers 13-1 in the first quarter of action. By the half, Queens held a 19-2 lead.
Both
Rebecca Kinsley and
Kyleigh Masteran each totaled seven points as Kinsley notched five goals and two assists and Masteran tallied six goals and one assist. Katilyn Hardin added a hat trick while Shannon Donavan and
Caroline Krauch each chipped in with two goals.
Queens will return to Dickson Field to face Belmont Abbey College on Wednesday, Apr. 6 at 3:30 p.m.
