GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team (4-2 overall, 3-2 South Atlantic Conference) remained perfect in league play with a sweep over the Mars Hill Lions (3-8, 0-5 South Atlantic Conference) on Friday afternoon. The conference victory is the Royals second straight as they vie for the top spot in the conference with Lenoir-Rhyne.

The afternoon opened with the Royals sweeping the doubles point for the second time this season. Edoardo Bottino and Edoardo Cecere remain perfect in league play at No. 1 doubles. Win Steveker and Yoan Roussinov notched their first victory as a tandem, 6-3. Berk Enc and Laurenz Blickwede would record their first win as a duo this season with a 6-1 win on the No. 3 court.

In singles action, Queens managed to go a perfect 14/14 sets contested during the match. Berk Enc was a double winner on the afternoon logging his first singles win of the year on the No. 4 court, 6-3, 6-0.

The Royals were scheduled to take on the Dukes of James Madison tomorrow, March 12, however the match has been postponed to Sunday due to forecasted inclement weather in Charlotte. Fans can swing by the Howard Levine Tennis Center on Sunday and watch the Royals take on Division I JMU beginning at 1:00 p.m.
