The Royals would find themselves behind five runs before scoring their first run in the bottom of the second when Mickler grounded out to second base, allowing Hunt to score. Queens then cut the margin to three in fifth when Patton crossed the plate off of a Staley RBI single.Â
A solo home run from the Wasps in the sixth followed by four runs in the seventh for Emory & Henry would give the game its final score as the Royals weren't able to get anything going in the bottom.

Game Two: King 12 | Queens 11
The Royals' game with the Tornado saw four ties and three lead changes as King squeaked out the one-run victory.
Â
Queens built a 4-0 lead by the top of the second before the Tornado would go on a scoring run. A home run at the bottom of the second would get them going, and they added six more runs in the third to take a 7-4 lead over the Royals.Â
Patton and
Reese Trotti scored runs in the fourth inning to bring the Tornado within one, but King was able to answer with a run in the bottom to lead 8-6 heading into the fifth.
Â
Smith hit a two-run homer in the top of the inning to tie the game 8-8. The Royals then took control of the game when

The Royals scored their final run of the night in the top of the eighth to take an 11-10 lead. Unfortunately, the Tornado responded with two runs in the bottom to take the win. A fielding error by the Royals would allow the runner placed on second to reach home and tie the game at 11-11, and they then took the game on an RBI double on the very next play.Â
Â
Jordyn Thompson would go a perfect 2-of-2 at the plate while Hunt and Nelson also recorded two hits to lead Queens. Three Royals saw action in the pitching circle as McPherson recorded the loss, making her record 1-2 on the season.
