The Short Story:Â Coming off an electric season opener, the Queens men's basketball team cruised past Clinton College as all 12 players scored a bucket. Leading the charge was
Kenny Dye as the senior poured in a team-high 14 points while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out four assists.
BY THE NUMBERS

Gavin Rains turned in his second straight double-double scoring 12 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. The performance marked his 16
th career double-double.

AJ McKee posted a 12 point and four rebound performance while shooting 4-for-7 from the field.
-BJ McLaurin recorded a valuable 17 minutes off the bench and dropped in 10 points and grabbed six rebounds, including three offensive board. The Fayetteville, N.C. native matched his career-high draining a pair of three pointers.
-Off the bench, sophomore guard Trey Hubbard scored 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting. The six made field goals were the most since Hubbard made eight in the season opener against Young Harris last season.
-Newcomers Chris Ashby, Logan Threatt, and Elijah Wyche combined to score 17 points off the bench.
-After allowing the Golden Bears to shoot 47-percent in the first half, the Royals defense tightened up in the final 20 minutes forcing the visitors into a 31-percent field goal percentage.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-The Royals jumped out early with a
Gavin Rains layup followed by a dunk. The quick spark allowed the Royals to control the remainder of the game as they never trailed.
-Queens extended their lead to 14 which was the largest of the first half at 39-25 after going on a 9-0 run.
-Halfway through the second half, Clinton went on a 1-for-7 shooting draught while the Royals capitalized with a 17-3 run

Gavin Rains was an impressive 6-for-7 shooting from the field after going 7-for-9 against Marshall on Monday night.
-For the second straight game,
Jay'Den Turner,
Kenny Dye,
Gavin Rains, and
AJ McKee all reached double figures.
-Despite one tie in the first three minutes, Queens held the lead from the opening tip and saw their lead increase to as much as 39 with 5:24 remaining in the second half.
-The Royals dominated the paint dropping in 52 points on the block. Queens showed their depth as the Royals bench outscored the Golden Bears 47-17.
-Queens forced 17 Golden Bear turnovers which are the most since March 3
rd last season.
-The win marks the 18
th time in program history that the Royals have started the season 2-0.
