The Short Story:Â Making their first Division 1 road trip of the season, the Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team committed 24 turnovers as they fell to A-10 opponent La Salle on Tuesday night.
BY THE NUMBERS
-Senior
Kenny Dye led the Royals pouring in 17 points while also grabbing three rebounds and dishing out four assists.

AJ McKee dropped in 12 points and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds as he reached double figures for the third straight game.

Jay'Den Turner continued to stuff the stat sheet scoring eight points and pulling down nine rebounds.
-BJ McLaurin and
Kalib Mathews provided valuable minutes off the bench for the second straight game. McLaurin reached double figures for the second straight game scoring 10 points across 23 minutes. Mathews would score four points, grab five rebounds, and tie his career-high blocking two shots across 26 minutes.
-The Royals turned the ball over 24 times which the Explorers managed to convert into 22 points.
-For the game, Queens shot 40-percent from the field and 25-percent from behind the arc while La Salle shot 41-percent from the field and 30-percent from deep.
-The La Salle bench outscored the Royals bench 37-21 as Fousseyni Drame finished with a game-high 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-Trailing 16-11, La Salle used a 9-2 run to grab a 20-18 lead heading into the under-8 timeout.
-Leading 28-26 with three minutes remaining in the first half, La Salle closed the half on an 8-2 run taking a 36-28 lead into the break.
-Trailing 57-43, Queens went on a 7-0 run and capitalized on 2 minute and 30 second scoring draught by the Explorers. La Salle responded with a 6-0 run of their own to open their lead back up to 63-50.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-Queens fell to 3-3 when shooting 40-percent or below in the last two seasons.
-The 24 turnovers by the Royals were the most since January 10, 2018.
-The Royals outrebounded the Explorers 43-31. The last time the Royals outrebounded an opponent and lost was March 13, 2021 when Emmanuel won the rebound margin 37-30 and took down Queens 80-78 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
-In the last two seasons, Queens has only lost three games when they attempt more free throws.
