Van De Roer Scores First Collegiate Goal in Match with App State

BOONE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (0-12) traveled a few hours away this afternoon to face App State (11-5) in the Royals' 10th straight game on the road falling 10-1 to the Mountaineers.

Turning Point
After falling behind 1-0 within the first 10 minutes of play, Queens knotted the game at 1-1 with a goal in the 12th minute from Fay Van De Roer. However, the Mountaineers quickly answered to move back in front before the first quarter ended. App State then scored eight unanswered goals in the remaining minutes of play to take the victory.
