CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (2-9 overall, 0-4 ASUN) picked up a dominant 2-0 shutout victory over the UNC Wilmington Seahawks (4-3-4 overall, 3-1-2 CAA) on Tuesday night. The victory marks the Royals second shutout this season as they took down a Seahawks squad that was ranked No. 9 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region rankings.

Turning Point
For the third time this season, the Royals struck first in the scoring column. Graduate student Louis Goldsack struck gold in the 23^rd minute to give Queens an early advantage. After leading the entire match, the Royals received a late insurance goal off the boot of freshman Jamahl Brown in the 87^th minute to secure the victory.
 
Key Stats & Notes

• Louis Goldsack continued to shine scoring his third goal of the season, and second goal in as many games. The first half goal pushed Goldsack to second on the team in goals and points.
• Rookie Jamahl Brown made history by scoring his first career goal. Louis Goldsack sent a pass to Matheus Pereira who touched the pass to Brown before the rookie put it away late in the match.
• Veteran Axel Horrocks turned in his first career shutout for the Royals after making his second start in goal this season. Horrocks faced 13 shots and picked up four saves for his first clean sheet of the season.
• Seven Royals turned in multi-shot performances, including Matheus Pereira, Caio Brandao, Felipe Mendonca, Louis Goldsack, Caleb Patsch, Matias Vilchez, and Jamahl Brown. Matias Vilchez posted a career-high three shots.
• Five Royals turned in a complete 90-minute performance, including Samuel Idinge, Boris Basara, Matheus Pereira, Yuri Poplawski, and Oskar Wolf.
• Queens won the shooting total 17-13 as both offenses put six shots on goal. The 17 shots are a season-high for Queens. In the last eight matches, the Royals are averaging 12 shots per game as their offense begins to click.
