ANDERSON, S.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (3-3-1, 2-1-1 SAC) took on the Anderson University Trojans (4-2-1, 1-2-1 SAC), suffering their first South Atlantic Conference loss of the season after falling 1-0 on the road.

Despite the opening half of action seeing a combined total of 13 shots from both teams on the field, tonight's game sat tied at 0-0 at the half.

In the second period, a foul called on Queens in the box late in the game led to Anderson's Agustin Ortiz scoring tonight's game-winner on a penalty kick in the 86th. Following the Trojans' goal, the Royals looked to even the score taking three shots in the final five minutes of play. Unfortunately, none found the back of the net. Â

Despite the Trojans outshooting the Royals 14-11, both teams managed to have three shots on goal.
Elvis Menayese led the Royals in shots recording three with one on goal.

Nicolai Andersen took the loss after totaling two saves.
