MARS HILL, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (3-2-1, 2-0-1 SAC) secured a 2-0 victory over Mars Hill University (3-3-1, 1-2 SAC) on Saturday afternoon.

Felipe Mendonca scored today's game-winner in just the second minute of play. Mendonca currently leads the league and the Royals with nine goals and 20 points in just six games. Queens would take an early 1-0 lead into intermission.

Andre Castro's shot connected with the back of the net in the 87
th minute, giving him his second goal this season and giving the Royals an insurance goal.

Despite being outshot 11-9 by the Mountain Lions, the Royals were able to match Mars Hill's shot on goal count at three.

Nicolai Andersen totaled three saves and collected tonight's win in goal.

The Royals will next travel to take on Anderson University on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
