HARROGATE, TENN. – The 16
th-ranked Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team moved its winning streak to six in a row on Sunday morning, defeating Lincoln Memorial University 6-1 on the road.
Queens won all three doubles points to take an early lead in the match, highlighted by a 6-1 triumph in the second flight by
Edoardo Bottino/
Edoardo Cecere.
In singles play, Queens won five of six flights to seal the win.
Yoan Roussinov was dominant in a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4 as was Cecere with a6-2, 6-1 decision in the third flight.
Paolo Bompieri (6-2, 6-4) and
Berk Enc (6-4, 6-2) both win in straight sets, while Bottino went the distance in a 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 win in the top position.
Queens returns home to Charlotte to host No. 6 Lander University on Wednesday, March 31 at 2 p.m. from the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
