MARIETTA, Ga. - The Queens University of Charlotte men's rugby team dropped its season opener to Division I powerhouse Life University by a 32-10 final. 

The Royals led 10-3 at intermission before Life, the No. 1-ranked Division I men's rugby program, and two-time defending national champion, scored 29 unanswered points in the second half to claim the comeback victory. Queens' Doyle Hedgepeth converted one try while Hilton Oliver recorded one conversion. 

Following its breakthrough 2019-20 campaign, Queens looks for its first victory of the new season on April 10th in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin with two matches against Iowa Central CC and Marian University.
