CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (2-1, 2-1 SAC) suffered its first loss of the season falling 1-0 to Anderson University (3-1-1, 3-1 SAC) at Dickson Field this evening to split the home-and-home series with the Trojans.
 
Anderson's Miquel Gallegos scored in the 43^rd minute to give the visitors a 1-0 halftime lead.
 
Despite the Royals posting seven second-half shots, they were unable to find the back of the net before the end of regulation.
 
The Royals outshot the Trojans, 11-3, putting seven shots on goal compared to Anderson's one shot on goal. Felipe Mendonca and Joe Lilley each totaled two shots on goal to lead the Royals.
 
Anderson goalkeeper Gal Elyashiv totaled seven saves to collect tonight's win while Tim Tretbar of Queens took his first loss of the season.
 
The Royals will be back in action on Monday for a makeup game against Limestone University. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. at Dickson Field.
