CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 13 Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team remained perfect in South Atlantic Conference play after a 7-0 victory over Newberry College on Thursday afternoon at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
The Royal won all three doubles matchups to gain an early 1-0 lead in the match, highlighted by identical 6-1 wins at Nos. 1 and 2 from

Euan Lynes/
Kasper Rolfsen, respectively.
In singles play, the Royals gained another point via forfeit before Rolfsen turned in a dominant 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5.
Bottino (6-3, 6-0) and
Jan Malmon (6-1, 6-4) also made quick work of their opponents at Nos. 1 and 4 respectively, as Cecere also need just two sets to collect a 7-5, 6-1 win in the second flight.
Yoan Roussinov, the reigning SAC Player of the Week, went the distance in his match at No. 3 and tallied a 2-6, 6-3, 11-9 triumph to finish off the sweep.
"The guys are working hard and enjoying the competition," said Head Tennis Coach
Billy Boykin. "We're happy to be back on the courts and are eager for more match play."
Queens will head to Hartsville, S.C. to continue conference play on Saturday with a Noon matchup against Coker University.
