CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (0-1, 0-1 SAC) lost their season opener against the Wingate University Bulldogs (1-0, 1-0 SAC) on Thursday evening, 4-0.

Wingate's Jean Ngandu Tshibanda was able to score in the 37
th minute to give the visitors a 1-0 halftime lead. He would eventually finish the game with a hat trick after scoring two more goals in the second half. Additionally, Federico Andreani of Wingate scored a goal in the 51
st on a free kick.

Felipe Mendonca and
Jonathan Lanza each recorded a shot on goal for Queens.

The Royals will take on Anderson University next Thursday, February 25. The match will begin at 7:30 pm.
