ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's and  Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the first week of the indoor track & field season this morning and Queens University of Charlotte's Simon Rey and Lucy Walliker swept the field honors.

Rey, a senior transfer from Port, France recorded a NCAA DII provisional mark in the heptathlon at the Bast Cregger Invite. Not only did Rey take the top spot totaling a score of 5,252 points, he set a new program record for the Royals.

Walliker, a senior multi from Ugborough, England took first place in the pentathlon at the Bast Cregger Invite with a total of 3,113 points, while also setting a new personal record in the event. 

This is the first Field Athlete of the Week honor this season for both Rey and Walliker.
