CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 5 Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team will return to Curry Arena following Thanksgiving with a non-conference clash with Johnson C. Smith (2-2) on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The Royals have opened the new season 5-0, including conference victories over Catawba, Carson-Newman, and Anderson.
Saturday afternoon's meeting will mark the 22
nd contest between Queens and Johnson C. Smith, with the Royals holding an 11-10 advantage. The crosstown rivals have not matched up since 2017-18 when the Royals ousted the Golden Bulls, 83-77. The Royals are winners of their last five meetings with the Golden Bulls.

- In the season opener against Young Harris, the Royals set a new program record with 133 points scored as eight Royals finished with double figures.

- Johnson C. Smith has four players averaging double digit scoring, including Xavier Jones who leads the team with 17.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
- Head Coach Stephen Joyner Sr. is one of the most renowned coaches in the country entering his 28th season at JCSU and posting a 483-294 overall record.
