HICKORY, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (3-6-1, 2-3-1 SAC) traveled to Hickory, N.C., to take on Lenoir-Rhyne (6-3, 4-2 SAC), suffering a 5-1 loss in South Atlantic Conference play. Freshman defender
Samuel Idinge scored the first goal of his collegiate career for the Royals in the loss.
The Royals were first on the board tonight when Indinge put a ball in the back of the net in the eighth minute that would be Queens' only score of the night.
Matheus Pereira was awarded the assist on the play. The Royals' lead was short-lived as Lenoir-Rhyne's Miguel Montano netted the equalizer in the 13
th minute. The Bears' Noah Tiefel then scored two more goals to ensure a comfortable 3-1 lead for Lenoir-Rhyne heading into halftime.
During the second half, the Bears added two more to their point total before the end of regulation to give the game its final score.
Lenoir-Rhyne controlled tonight's game outshooting Queens, 15-9, and putting 10 shots on goals. Pereira led the Royals with three shots, two of which were on goal.

Tim Tretbar recorded five saves in the loss.
The Royals will be back in the Queen City to take on Catawba College on Wednesday, October 13. The match is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
