CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (3-5-1, 2-2-1) hosted Francis Marion University (5-4-1, 4-0) at Dickson Field this evening in a nonconference match, falling 3-1 to the Patriots.

The Patriots were first on the board tonight scoring in the 31
st minute of action, but their lead was short-lived as Queens'
Tyler Tin scored his first goal of the season in the 36
th to equalize the match.
Yuri Poplawski recorded the assist on the play, and the 1-1 score held until the halftime break.

In the second, Francis Marion's Mauricio Castorino scored in the 52
nd to return control of the lead to his team. An insurance goal for the Patriots followed late in the game when Oier Bernaola scored on a header in the 82
nd.

Queens was outshot 16-9, putting three shots on goal compared to Francis Marion's six.
Felipe Mendonca totaled four shots for the Royals while
Matheus Pereira added three.

Tim Tretbar of Queens recorded the loss in goal after totaling three saves.

Tonight's loss is the third in a row for Queens who is back in action in South Atlantic Conference play on Saturday at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
