HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team collected a conference win over Coker University, beating them 2-0 on the road at the Coker Athletic Complex. With the win, the Royals improved their record to 6-6-2 overall and 5-3-2 in South Atlantic Conference play.

Matheus Pereira scored the first goal of tonight's match in the 14
th minute giving Queens a quick 1-0 lead over Coker. Redshirt seniorÂ
Felipe Mendonca then connected with the back of the net in the 36
th minute to give the Royals a comfortable 2-0 advantage heading into halftime. Mendonca goal was his 14th of the season as he continues to lead the Royals and the league in the category.

Queens' defense didn't allow Coker to get any shots off in the first half of play while the Royals totaled seven shots in the period, putting three shots on goal.

Neither team would score in the second half as the Royals ended the game outshooting the Cobras 14-5, putting seven shots on goal to Coker's zero.
Nicolai Andersen recorded his fifth clean sheet of the season in the win.Â

Queens will be back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 3 on the road at Tusculum University where they will close out the regular season. The match is set to begin at 7:30 pm.
