With 8:56 remaining in the game, Newberry head coach Jason Taylor was assessed two technical fouls and subsequently ejected from the game for arguing with the officials. Turner made two of the four technical free-throws to spark a Queens rally. After hitting another 3-pointer with 8:40 to play, Turner helped the Royals stretch out their lead again, 71-55.
