CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. - The Queens University of Charlotte women's rugby team competed in the 2019 Mason-Dixon Conference 15s tournament this weekend, falling to both the University of Virginia (78-5) and James Madison University (32-5) to finish fourth. The Royals conclude their spring 15s season with a 4-2 record.

In match one Saturday afternoon versus UVA, the Cavaliers were the first to score in the match with two tries just 14 minutes into play (10-0).

Antares Lance would score Queens' only try in the match in the first half shortly after a UVA conversion to make the score 12-5.

UVA would continue to score leading up to the final minutes of the half increasing their lead to 33-5.

After halftime, the Royals would allow the Cavaliers to score another 45 points to make the final score 78-5.

Sunday in match two against JMU, Lance would again score the only try of the match for the Royals just two minutes into play, 5-0.

From then-on-out, the Dukes continued to add points to the board, making the final score 32-5 to advance as the third seed at the 2019 Mason-Dixon Conference National 15s Tournament.
