CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queen's University of Charlotte women's rugby team put on a show against Mount St. Mary's University on Senior Day, winning by a score of 80-7.
The Royals took an early lead in the first few minutes of the match, and never took their foot off the gas for the rest of the game. On attack, the forwards dominated the gain line and displayed great passing to exploit the wide channels of the pitch. Defensively, the Royals were stalwart and were able to limit Mount St. Mary's to short and ineffective possession. The win today moves the Royals to 3-2 on the season.
Looking Ahead
Next for the Royals' women's rugby team is a matchup in Annapolis, Maryland against Army. It will take place on Saturday, October 12 at noon.
