No. 19 Royals Win Third Straight, Down Newberry at Home

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 19 Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team collected its third straight South Atlantic Conference win, defeating Newberry College 5-2 on Saturday at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
 
Queens took an early lead after doubles play, winning two of the tree matchups. The tandem of Sebastian Meum and Kasper Rolfsen picked up their 10th win of the season with a 6-2 triumph, followed by a 7-6 (7-6) win from the 48th-ranked duo of Agustin Aran Martin and Julian Bosch.
 
Meum kicked off singles play with a dominating 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 6 before senior Mathias Degarding followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 4 to inch Queens closer to victory. Junior Joel Dunlap was a 6-3, 6-4 winner at No. 5 as redshirt-sophomore Paolo Bompieri sealed the match decision with a 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 10-6 win at No. 3.
 
The Royal go out of conference for their next match as they hit the road to take on No. 6 USC Aiken on Monday, April 8 in Aiken, S.C.
