CHARLOTTE, N.C.  –  The 18
th-ranked Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team picked up a 20-3 South Atlantic Conference win this afternoon over Lincoln Memorial University opening league play at 1-0 and improving to 5-2 on the year. The loss is the second of the year for the Railsplitters who move to 6-2 on the season and 1-1 in SAC play.

Leading 8-3 at the half, Queens' offense took over outscoring the Railsplitters 12-0 after the break to run away with today's game.

Eleven Royals found the back of the net with
Allison Conn's four goals leading the way.
Katie Wardle and
Kyleigh Masteran each recorded hat tricks while
Hanna Scott totaled six points on two goals and four assists.
Kara Blanchard and
Carson Giordano added three points each and
Sydney Bracken and
Taylor Quade notched two points each. Additionally,
Chase Brokaw collected the win in goal after totaling eight saves in 48:05.

Queens outshot Lincoln Memorial 42-16 putting 36 shots on goal compared to the Railsplitters' 11 shots on frame. The Royals also won the battle for ground balls 22-11 and won 16 draw controls.

Erin DePaul led the Railsplitters with two goals. Goalkeeper Micayla Starnes totaled 16 saves in goal.

Queens will be back in action against conference foe Lenoir-Rhyne University on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. The Bears handed the Royals their first SAC loss ever a season ago taking the regular season title.
