CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 10/10 Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team (22-3, 14-1 SAC) welcomes Newberry College (10-13, 4-10 SAC) to the Levine Center on Wednesday night for a South Atlantic Conference matchup. Opening tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. General admission is $6 and all Queens students will receive free admission with their Queens ID card.
Wednesday marks the 22
nd meeting between the two teams, with the Royals leading the all-time series, 16-5, and having won seven straight versus the Wolves. Earlier this season, Queens beat Newberry, 96-94, on the road on Jan. 9. Newberry's last win over Queens came on Feb. 18, 2015, when the Wolves topped the Royals, 90-85, in Charlotte.
Queens enters Wednesday's game atop the SAC standings with a three-game lead over Lincoln Memorial University (11-4) in second place with five games remaining on the schedule.

-Last time out, 
Shaun Willett recorded his 21st double-double and 
Lewis Diankulu added his seventh career double-double, as Queens topped Tusculum University, 97-88, on Saturday at the Levine Center. Willett scored 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as Diankulu scored 16 and tied a career-high with 12 boards.

Blake Morrow also reached double figures with 16 and 11 points, respectively, as the Royals picked up their third-straight win and completed the season sweep of the Pioneers.
-Last Wednesday's win at Coker College improved the Royals' road record to 10-0 and extended their road winning streak to 11 games dating back to last season. The current road winning streak is second to Northwest Missouri State University for the longest such active streak in Division II and includes three wins over ranked teams. This season Queens has posted road wins over No. 23 Lenoir-Rhyne University, 76-69, on Nov. 28, and No. 24 Catawba College, 87-86, on Jan. 16.
-With a win on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Lincoln Memorial University, Queens won for the 20th time this season, notching a 20-win campaign for the 15th time in the program's 30-year history and the fourth year in a row. This season is 
Bart Lundy's eighth 20-win season as a head coach and his seventh in 11 years at Queens.
-On Tuesday, Queens improved one spot to No. 10 in the NABC / Division II Rankings and held at No. 10 in the most recent edition of the D2SIDA Media Poll. The placement in the 11th official coaches' poll of the season marks the 56th consecutive week in which Queens has been featured in the poll dating back to Nov. 24, 2015, the first poll of the 2015-2016 season. The Royals have cracked the top-10 nationally in both polls during each of the last four seasons.
-With 21 double-doubles, Willett leads the NCAA (more than 1,200 institutions) in double-doubles this season. At the Division II level, Will Vorhees of Notre Dame College is second with 16 double-doubles. In Division I, Davontae Cacok of the University of North Carolina Wilmington has 19, and in Division III, three players are tied with 17.
-With 300 rebounds in the season's first 25 games, Willett has already recorded the second-most rebounds in a single season in program history. Last game versus Tusculum, Willett passed former teammate 
Todd Withers (288, 2017-18, 36 games) to move into second place all-time. Soce Faye holds the single-season rebounding record with 335 (1997-98, 30 games).
 
-Willett was named AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 4-10 after averaging 21.5 points and 14 rebounds on 51.4-percent shooting in two winning efforts. The award was Willett's third Player of the Week honor this season and the fifth time this year that a Queens player claimed the award.
-On Jan. 15, Willett and Carr were named to the Bevo Francis Award Top 100 Watch List, Small College Basketball announced. The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest season across NCAA Divisions II and II, NAIA Divisions I and II, USCAA Divisions I and II and NCCAA Divisions I and II.
-Willett currently ranks second in the SAC in scoring, averaging 19.4 points per game. He is first in the League in rebounding, and third nationally, with 12.0 rebounds per game.
-Carr is seventh in the SAC in scoring (16.6 PPG), fifth in assists (4.4 APG), and seventh in 3-point field goal percentage (43.8%).
-Diankulu is the League's fourth-leading rebounder with 8.0 boards per game and ranks fourth in field goal percentage (58.3%).

Van Turner Jr. is third in 3-point shooting (46.1%) and his 77 made 3-pointers ranks him in a tie for 12th nationally in 3-point field goals made this season.

Blake Morrow ranks fifth in the SAC in 3-point shooting (45.2 %).
-As a team, Queens is shooting 50.7 percent (No. 12 NCAA, No. 1 SAC) and 41.3 percent from three (No. 7 NCAA, No. 1 SAC).
-Head Coach 
Bart Lundy is in his sixth season since returning to Queens and his 11
th overall at the helm in Charlotte. In 17 years as a head coach in Division I and II, Lundy has posted an overall record of 350-170 (.673 win pct.) and a record at Queens of 254-83 (.753 win pct.). Lundy has led Queens to all three of its Elite Eight appearances.
 
Newberry Wolves (10-13, 4-10 SAC)
-Newberry enters Wednesday night's game with a 9-13 overall record and a 4-10 mark in South Atlantic Conference play. The Wolves sit in ninth place in the League standings, one-game back of Carson Newman University in eighth (5-9). The top eight in the conference standings at the end of the regular season will qualify for the postseason tournament.
-The Wolves have won two consecutive games, including an upset of then second-place Lenoir-Rhyne University, 103-101, at home on Feb. 6.
-Last time out, Newberry beat Piedmont International University, 85-63, on Feb. 8, behind a 23-point performance from Angelo Sales Jr.
-Marshall Lange leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.1 points per game (No. 10 SAC).
-Head Coach Dave Davis is in his 28
th year overall and his ninth at Newberry after spending 14 years as the head coach at Pfeiffer University. Davis holds an overall coaching record of 486-308 (.612 win pct.) and a record at Newberry of 143-108 (.570 win pct.).
