HARROGATE, TENN. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team surrendered a second quarter lead and were never able to recover in falling to South Atlantic Conference foe Lincoln Memorial University 58-52 in Tex Turner Arena.
Playing in their first game after a week away from competition, the Royals (2-7, 1-2 SAC) opened the game on an 8-0 as the defense forced Lincoln Memorial (4-3, 3-1 SAC) into missing its first five shots. Queens held the Railsplitters to just 38.3 percent shooting and forced 22 total turnovers, however, LMU turned 21 Royals' miscues into 25 points and made 6-of-14 shots from 3-point range.
Queens held a four-point lead after one quarter of play and maintained the edge, 15-11, until eight unanswered points from the Railsplitters put LMU in front by a 19-15 margin.

Jaymi Golden cut the halftime deficit to two points, 21-19, but Lincoln Memorial began the second half on an 11-2 run to push the lead to double digits. The Royals got within striking distance early in the fourth period, but five key free throws down the stretch gave LMU its third straight win.

Kristian Eanes tallied 16 points and three steals, while junior
Julia Raflund followed with 15 points, making 7-of-10 free throws, to go along with a season-high nine rebounds and three assists.
The Royals remain on the road for their next conference contest as the team travels to Hartsville, S.C. on Wednesday, December 18 for a 5:30 p.m. matchup with Coker University.
