CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior setter 
Mallory Swarts became the Queens University of Charlotte women's volleyball career leader in service aces as the Royals collected a 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-17) sweep of Lenoir-Rhyne University on Friday night inside Curry Arena.
 
Swarts' two service aces in the match pushed her career total to 156, besting the previous record of 154 held by former teammate 
Sydney Kunz. She finished the match with 34 assists and 10 digs for her 11
th double-double of the season and guided the Royals (17-5, 14-3 SAC) to a .271 hitting performance.
 
The Queens defense saw five different players record double-digit digs in holding the Bears (14-11, 9-8 SAC) to a .101 hitting mark. Junior 
JayCee Jones and 
Casey Tarvin each had 19 digs on defense, while fellow junior 
Jordan Proszenyak and sophomore 
Brooke Farley finished with 16 and 15 digs, respectively.
 
Queens fell behind early in all three sets but each time they found a way to rally in front. The match saw 12 total lead changes and 16 total ties.
 
Offensively, Proszenyak led the team with 12 kills, while junior 
Logan Witt followed with 11 kills and a .550 hitting mark from the middle. Tarvin chipped in 10 kills of her own and hit .391 from the outside and sophomore 
Lindsay Elmore registered seven kills and four total blocks.
 
The Royals remain at home tomorrow for a 2 p.m. matchup with Mars Hill University in the Levine Center.
