Highlights of Shaun Willett
BRISTOL, Conn. – Queens University of Charlotte senior forward
Shaun Willett was featured in SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays of the Night, on Jan. 3, 2019, for a dunk that helped Queens to a 102-85 win over Virginia Union University at the Levine Center. The dunk, which was Willett's fourth of the game, was ranked No. 7 by ESPN.
With 2:28 remaining in the first half, Willett caught a pass at the top of the key and drove right for a right-handed tomahawk jam over a leaping defender that gave Queens a 45-27 lead. Willett finished the night with a career-high 28 points on 11 of 15 shooting, and 14 rebounds to post his NCAA-leading 12
th double-double of the season.
Willett became the second Queens player to ever appear in the nightly countdown by ESPN's flagship program. On Nov. 18, 2016, a dunk by Daniel Camps received the No. 9 ranking from ESPN's Top Plays in an 84-69 win over Lees-McRae College.
Led by Willett, Queens has won eight straight games, including six in a row by double figures. The Royals return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Newberry College. Opening tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. Live play-by-play coverage will be available on the
