HICKORY, N.C. -- The 15th-ranked Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team defeated Lenoir-Rhyne University in a South Atlantic Conference matchup on Wednesday, winning 6-3 at the YMCA of Catawba Valley. With the win, Queens' win streak extends to five matches in a row.

In doubles play, Lenoir-Rhyne took a 2-1 lead over the Royals as senior Andor Vas and freshman Kasper Rolfsen were the only duo to win their matchup for Queens, earning an 8-7 victory in the No. 2 position.

It was in singles play that the Royals were able to pull ahead, winning five out of the six matchups.

Sophomore Julian Bosch finished in the No. 2 spot, winning his matchup in two sets 6-3, 7-6 followed by fellow sophomore teammate Agustin Aran Martin, who is the No. 54 ranked singles player in the nation, who also won in two sets, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 3.

Vas took the No. 1 spot, winning in three sets by a score of 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, as sophomore Sebastian Meum also won his matchup in the No. 4 spot in three sets 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Queens' final point came from sophomore Joel Dunlap's win in the No. 5 spot where he won his matchup 6-3, 7-6, giving the Royals another successful win on the road.

The Royals will travel once again to Mars Hill, N.C.  on Friday, April 13, to compete in another South Atlantic Conference matchup versus Mars Hill University. Play will begin at approximately 4 p.m.
