HARTSVILLE, S.C.  – The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team, currently ranked 23
rd in the nation, defeated Coker College, 20-9, on the road this afternoon to move to 5-7 on the year and 3-1 in South Atlantic Conference play. The Cobras now sit 1-8 on the season and 0-3 in the league.

Hanna Scott led the Royals once again recording five goals and four assists for a season-high nine points.
Katie Wardle followed with three goals and four assists for a season-high seven points while
Ally Blood,
Sydney Lear, and
Taylor Quade also recorded hat tricks on the day.
Cammy Case played well on the defensive end recording five caused turnovers, five ground balls, and three draw controls.
Chase Brokaw collected the win in goal after totaling four saves in 43:21.
Sara Mitrecic recorded two saves after spending 16:39 in goal.Â

The Royals ran away with today's game early finding the back of the net 11 times before allowing the Cobras to put their first point on the board at 10:34. After following Coker's goal with three straight, Queens would go on to take a 14-2 lead at the break.

Queens extended its lead to 16, 18-2, scoring four unanswered goals to open the second half. They then coasted to victory scoring twice more before the final horn sounded to take the 15-point win.

Queens outshot Coker, 38-13, putting 32 shots on goal to the Cobras' 11 shots on frame. The Royals also totaled more ground balls, 21-9, though they lost the battle at the draw, 19-8.

Haley McCusker led the Cobras with three goals. She also totaled seven draw controls while Faith Kent recorded 10 draw controls. Cassie Williams totaled 12 saves in goal for the Cobras.Â

The Royals will be back in action on Thursday, April 5 when they travel to face the University of Mount Olive. Queens defeated the Trojans, 20-9, last season at home. The nonconference game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
