ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team fell to Anderson University Sunday, losing 5-4 in a hard fought matchup at the AU Tennis Complex.
Queens' lone win in doubles play came from the No. 2 position as sophomores
Agustin Aran Martin and
Sebastian Meum's won 8-6. The Trojans held a 2-1 lead over the Royals after a one-point win in the top spot.
In singles play, Queens won three out of the six matchups, taking the No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 spots. Aran Martin took the No. 2 spot winning in two sets 6-2, 6-2. Freshman
Kasper Rolfsen won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 5, while Queens' final point came in the form of a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 6 from sophomore
Joel Dunlap.
The team hosts Coker College next in another South Atlantic Conference matchup on Tuesday, March 20 at the Queens Sports Complex. Play will begin at 2 p.m.
