No. 20 Queens Nets Game Winner in Double OT to Extend Unbeaten Streak to 7

ANDERSON, S.C. – In its first game since becoming nationally ranked, the No. 20 Queens University of Charlotte soccer team (7-1-1; 4-0) downed Anderson University (2-4-1; 1-2-1) in double overtime by a score of 1-0 on the road at Trojan Stadium.

The Royals, who now carry an unbeaten streak of seven games, put in the game's lone goal in the game's 108th minute off the foot of senior Edmundo Robinson, as the forward punched in a loose ball in front of the goal as time ticked down in the second overtime.

The game-winning goal was the second this season for Robinson and his fourth goal overall, tying him for the team lead.

Royals' goalkeeper Sebastian Kalk kept the Trojans out of the net and finished with a total of seven saves in a shutout performance. Kalk, who has played every minute in goal this season, has allowed only one goal in the last three games.

Robinson led Queens with 5 shots and three on goal, while senior Alberto Morales recorded four shots and two on goal.

Queens will be on the road for its third-straight game this Saturday, Oct. 6, as it sets to face off with Lenoir-Rhyne University at 7:00 p.m. from Hickory, N.C.
