CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The eighth-ranked Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team faced the University of Mount Olive Trojans this afternoon, picking up a 20-9 win to improve to 11-2 on the season. The Trojans fall to 8-6 on the year with the loss.

Hanna Scott led the Royals with six points on five goals and one assist, while
Alexandra Bruder added six points of her own with four goals and two assists.
Shannon Mansberger,
Ally Blood, and
Katie Pawlikowski each finished with five points apiece. Mansberger and Pawlikowski each finished with three goals and two assists while Blood finished with two goals and three assists.
Kelly Dowd added four points on two goals and two assists, and
Abigail Paulus finished with two points on one goal and one assist.
Jasmin Singh led on the defensive end with four caused turnovers.

Pawlikowski, Mansberger, and Scott would record their hat tricks in the first half of this contest. Though the Trojans would battle closely with the Royals by matching their goals and making the game tied at 2-2 early, a goal put in the back of the net by Queens' Mansberger began a Royals 5-0 run and they wouldn't look back. Queens held a 7-2 lead with 16:32 remaining in the opening half.

Mount Olive's Kiara Burke would show a spark of life on the offensive end, cutting the lead to four, 7-3, at the 16:13 mark in the first half. However, Bruder responded by adding a goal to start a 4-0 run by the Royals giving the home team an 11-3 lead with 10:23 remaining in the opening half.

Back-to-back goals by the Trojans' Michaela Ciciarelli, and Seffron Snethen kept Queens within reach, 11-5, with 9:16 remaining in the first half. However, Mansberger scored on an assist from Dowd starting 5-0 push that helped Queens close out the first half on top, 16-5.

The second half would end up in a draw in terms of the box score, but the Royals had done all the work needed in the first half to secure their win over the Trojans. Both Bruder and Scott scored twice in the half.

Queens totaled 33 shots, putting 26 on goal this afternoon. The Royals also won the battle at the draw, 17-13. Dowd led with seven draw controls. In the cage,
Chase Brokaw grabbed the win after totaling six saves.

Burke led Mount Olive with four goals, while Kaderabek and Snethen netted two goals apiece. Siena Miller recorded six saves in goal.

The Royals can be seen back in action on Saturday, April 15 as they host Coker College for Senior Day. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
