HARROGATE, Tenn. – The ninth-ranked Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team defeated Lincoln Memorial University, 24-5, on the road this afternoon to improve to 7-2 on the season, while the Railsplitters fall to 3-7 on the season. The conference win moved the Royals to 3-0 in South Atlantic Conference play and dropped Lincoln Memorial to 1-4 in the league.

Katie Pawlikowski led the Royals with four goals and one assist, while
Hanna Scott had three goals and three assists. They were followed by
Ally Blood and
Sydney Lear who each recorded hat tricks.
Alexandra Bruder netted two goals of her own, while
Kelly Dowd,
Shannon Mansberger,
Sarah Bell,
Katy Miller,
Hayley Anna, and
Aarika Kaester each added one goal in the Royals victory.
Cammy Case led in ground balls with six and in caused turnovers with five. Dowd totaled six draw controls.

Queens hit the ground running per usual this afternoon, as Bruder scored in the opening minute of the game on an assist from Pawlikowski. Lincoln Memorial's Kennedy Buechner answered to knot the game at 1-1, but the tie would be short-lived as her goal was answered with an offensive flurry by Queens. Four straight goals by the Royals, two coming from Pawlikowski, gave the visitors a commanding 5-1 lead with 20:25 remaining in the first half.

The Railsplitters' Buechner scored again to cut the lead to three, at 5-2, but once again Queens answered with a run. However, this time the Royals would put seven unanswered points on the board. 7-0 run. A goal from Lincoln Memorial in the closing minutes of the half would give the game a 13-3 score at the break.

In the first two minutes of the second half, the Royals and Railsplitters exchanged goals to make the score 14-4, with 28:40 remaining. Queens' goal followed Lincoln Memorials, sparking a 4-0 push that put them ahead 17-4 with 24:15 to play. A goal at 20:14 from the Railsplitters would be the last of the game for Lincoln Memorial as Queens closed with seven straight to grab the road win.

Queens outshot Lincoln Memorial, 38-15, putting 34 shots on goal. Queens also totaled 26 ground balls to Lincoln Memorial's 17 and won the battle at the draw, 20-10.
Chase Brokaw picked up the win in goal after totaling three saves.

Heather Roache and Buechner each scored two goals to lead the Railsplitters. Goalkeeper Shannon Novak recorded 10 saves in the loss.

The Royals can be seen back in action on Saturday, April 1 when they travel to face Tusculum College. The game is set to begin at 12 p.m.
