CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The sixth-ranked Queens University of Charlotte Royals (30-3) will face No. 15 Lincoln Memorial University (28-5) in Curry Arena on Tuesday night in the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Southeast Regional Championship. The Railsplitters advanced to the championship for the second year in a row, while the Royals are returning for the first time since the 2003 season.

The Royals and the Railsplitters split the home-and-home series during the regular season with both teams winning in their respective arenas. Queens took a 103-101 overtime win on January 9 with
Jalin Alexander's 28 points leading the way, while Lincoln Memorial took an 81-79 victory in Tex Arena on February 18 on the back of 18 points from Chris Perry.

The pair would meet again for a third time in the South Atlantic Conference Championship game on March 5, but this time the Royals were victorious taking a 75-72 win for their first SAC Championship Tournament Title in program history.
Daniel Camps was named Tournament MVP after scoring a career-high 29 points in the win. The title also came on the back of the Royals' first ever SAC Regular Season Title that they shared with the Railsplitters who had taken the title outright in the four seasons prior.

Lincoln Memorial advanced to tomorrow night's championship after topping Pfeiffer, 118-86, in the quarterfinals, and then rallying back from behind to defeat Limestone, 70-64, in the semifinals. The Royals took a similar path handling Wingate, 96-80, in the quarterfinals before rallying to top Augusta, 88-82, in the semifinals.

Luquon Choice and Perry are leading the Railsplitters this season averaging just over 18 points apiece. Four others are averaging double-digit numbers as well.

Daniel Camps' 14.4 points per game.
Mike Davis,
Todd Withers and Alexander are each averaging just over 13 points per game, and point guard
Ike Agusi is averaging 10.6 points and 4.6 assists on each outing.

Tipoff for Tuesday night's game is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Curry Arena. A win over the Railsplitters will advance the Royals to the Elite 8 for the first time since 2003. Lincoln Memorial was the 2016 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship runner-up, falling to Augustana in the title game.
