CHARLOTTE, N.C. –The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team, ranked sixth in the nation, is set to face Wingate University for the fourth time this season in the opening round of the
NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Southeast Regional.

Queens took the third game, defeating Wingate in the semifinal round of the South Atlantic Conference Championships by a score of 79-51. Following the win, the Royals went on to defeat Lincoln Memorial College in the championship game to win their first SAC Championship Tournament Title in program history. Â

The Royals fell to Wingate in both regular season games this season. The first time around, Wingate handed Queens its first loss of the year, snapping a 16-game win streak for the Royals. Queens lost 71-64. In the second meeting at Wingate, the Royals fell 86-79. Queens leads the series, 18-14.

Leading Queens' scoring efforts this season is
Daniel Camps. The senior forward is averaging 14.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Jalin Alexander,
Todd Withers, and
Mike Davis are each averaging around 13 points per game, while
Ike Agusi is averaging just over 10 points per game.

Mike Baez is leading the Bulldogs this season, averaging 15.7 points per game. Josh Dominguez is averaging 14.5 points, while four others are averaging double-digits as well.
