HICKORY, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team suffered a second half rally from the home team of Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. The Bears topped the game 59-31 after scoring 33 points in the second half. Queens drops to 4-22 overall and 4-17 in the South Atlantic Conference. Lenoir-Rhyne moves to 16-11 on the season and 12-9 in league play.

Maggie Stewart led the team with 15 points adding seven rebounds to her night. She also found a block and a steal.
McKell Oliverio followed with nine points and four rebounds.

The Royals mirrored the Bears in the first quarter as both teams reached nine points by the end of the ten minutes. An 8-0 run in the second quarter lifted Lenoir-Rhyne who took a nine point lead by the end of the half.

Queens battle through the third with Stewart and Oliverio finding baskets. However, in the fourth quarter, the Bears outscored the Royals 19-6 for the win.

Morgan Cooper topped the host school with 13 points, four assists, and three rebounds. Chelsey Romero had 13 rebounds in the game adding nine points and two blocks.

The Royals will be at home on Saturday, February 25 for Senior Day. The team hosts Tusculum at 2 p.m.
