CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team traveled to face No. 9 Limestone College this afternoon for the second game in the home-and-home series with the Saints. The Royals were held scoreless in the match falling 8-0 to Limestone, bringing Queens' record to 6-10 on the year. Limestone improves to 14-2 with the win.

Queens totaled seven shots today, putting four shots on goal.
Mazvita Mtisi led the way recorded six shots, three being on goal, while
Ashley Caldwell added the seventh.
Miranda Childers and
Kelsey Fringer both spent time in the cage. Childers recorded one save, while Fringer tallied five.

The Saints got off to a hot start scoring three goals in the opening 13 minutes of action. They then added four more before the break to take a 7-0 lead into the locker room.

The Royals stepped up the defensive pressure in the second half holding Limestone to just one goal in the period. However, Queens wasn't able to find the back of the cage before time expired despite all four shots on goal for the Royals coming in the half.

Kate Remley led the way for Limestone with a hat trick this afternoon, while Kate Norman and Kelly Diplock added two goals apiece.

Queens is back in action for their final game of the year on Thursday, November 2 at Converse College. The Royals recently defeating the Valkyries 3-2 in their final home match of the year. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
